transverse link and problem with my car
I bought a transverse link afew months ago and went to install it and it didnt fit . The recess for the steering knuckle bolt is to shallow and wont allow the cotter pin to fit . There is about 1/4" difference . It said it was for a 04 coupe though which is my car . Has anyone had this problem ? Which ones fit what years and models ? Mine was marker R44 and the one that didnt fit was marked R58 . Do those make a difference .
I had to put the old one back on but now i also have a problem with the car . Now my steering is really really loose , steering wheel is crooked while going straight , when i turn the steering wheel turn by itself like i have automatic parking . I also now have the VDC and SLIP light on all the time . This is kind of weird . Can there maybe be somthing wrong with the steering sensor ? Anything else it could be . All i did was remove the transverse link and reinstall it .

2 things we know.
First, when you go to order that part from say Riverside Infiniti, they will sell you either 03-04 arms or 05+ arms. Just because they used the same picture for both arms doesn't mean they aren't different.
Second, as part of the discussion on my350z about what was different with the 2005 Nissan 350Z something was mentioned about the front suspension. They had changed some parts, sounded like the transverse link and maybe the hub. Exactly how they differed never did come out. Me thinks your the first person to shed some light on the subject. Could you please take a picture of the 2 arms that show's what your seeing?
