Tein H-Tech springs

After looking through past posts regarding suspension.....I think that the Tein H-tech would keep the most stock/comfortable ride with a little drop 1.4/.7 Does anyone have any input or advice before I order a set. I found some on Ebay for $187 shipped. Will I need to buy any additional hardware??? Thx

Here are some pics to see the current wheel gap. I have coupe 18's with 235/45/18 Michelin Pilot A/S plus tires. I do not want to risk rubbing and they barely stick out past the front fender. Click on the thumbnail to enlarge.

You don't require any extra hardware. You just take the stock springs out, and put these in. I had no problems. Just make sure to get an alignment after you're done.

My camber changed a little bit, but it's barely off the OEM specs. I've been driving it since last summer, all through the winter, and my tires don't show any extra wear on the edges at all. The H-Techs don't do a huge drop, so it doesn't mess up your camber much (at least it didn't on mine). The stock hardware has no room for adjustment really, which is why you need a camber kit if you go any lower than this usually.

Alright Just ordered my springs....hopefully I do not need a camber kit.....anyone else with experience having the Tein H. Tech springs. Even if it is not necessary, is it a good precaution to get the camber kit?

Any more pics with the Coupe 18's on? I'm intrested in seeing how flush they are with the sides. I'm putting some on mine as soon as the stupid tires I want are back in stock.

As far as the springs go, I think the H-Techs will look great with those wheels. From what I've read, you won't need a camber kit either unless you really want one.

I saw you're in AZ so I had to post.

Installed the h-techs on my 06 Sedan 6MT last month and love them. A nice subtle but effective drop that looks great and gives a nice ride. Would definitely recommend the D-Spec shocks to complete the package. I tried both the revised and unrevised Z springs with my stock sport shocks and was never happy with the ride. Now I can dial in just the right amount of damping for the perfect combination of ride and handling.

I also went with a full SPC front and rear alignment kit just to be safe. The Z springs brought my camber to -1.5 and tires didn't last long. I'm not buying it when Tein lists the h-tech as 1.4" drop in front. I didn't measure, but to my eye it's no more that the Z springs that were about 1". But that's OK cause it looks great and is all I really wanted.

This looks like a perfect drop. Im on the fence on what I want to purchase for a suspension setup. I was thinking of doing a full 350z suspension, but from the mixed reviews in regards to the ride quality its got me second guessing my decision.

The ride on revised z suspension is fine. Anyone who doesn't like it is just being an old man

I just bought the Tein H techs from a vendor(assault tech) on here a couple days ago and it was cheaper(shipped) than your eBaY set. I can't wait to get them. I will prob add the tokico HP shocks while I am already there too.

Sedan H Techs and coupe 19's. Fitment is damn good with no spacers.

I'm actually not getting H-Techs. I have Coupe 18's and was curious how flush they were with 235/45's.

By the way, your car looks great. I really wish I would have picked up one of those OEM lips before they were discontinued.

Don't waste money on a camber kit unless you need to.

Just get an alignment after you put them on, and have your mechanic check the camber and adjust it the best he can. There's not much adjustment you can do on the stock hardware, but my mechanic got it as close has he could to OEM specs, it's barely off. I've had them on since last September, I drive my car everyday and a lot for work. I've seen no difference in the normal wear on the tires from when I had stock springs.
