which springs would suit my ride better?

hey guys, i've been looking at few springs that i can use for my 05 g35 running on 18s. It's so hard to make the right decision because i don't want the ride to change dramatically.

right now i'm looking at getting Z eibach pro-kit. is there any other springs that may suit the kind of drop that i'm looking for? Also will i need cambers if i end dropping about 1.5?

thanks guys, really need this. it will be much appriciated.

s-techs for a g. use the search function and type in s-techs and it should bring up a thread where they post plenty of cars on those springs and others! But tein FTW. ya u prolly will but ive actually seen some people not have to but they are mostly on bigger wheels

If you're looking at a drop camber kits front and rear would be a good idea. I dropped my sedan on H Techs last year and didn't do the kits and my front tires started feathering at about 7000 miles. I just swapped out for S Techs and added camber kits front and rear. I'll be getting an alignment next week and feel certain that I'll be able to get back to factory specs.

If you are looking for a spring that has close to stock ride comfort you might like the Tanabe nf210. They emphasize subtle clean drop and has spring rates that are compatible with oem shocks.

Hey guys, so I bought the Z eibach pro-kit? Which camber kit will y'all recommend? I'm thinking of just getting rear cambers..can I get away with that with the Z pro-kits?

The rears are for sure with any drop near the 1.5." Im running Eibach Pro Kits for the G35 and I need a camber kit for the rear and thats only a 1" drop. Bottom line is: Since you're dropping your car a lot, you will def need a camber kit to get you as close as possible into spec.

Damn, those prices are hella expensive just for camber kits! Even if its Japan made, I wouldnt buy something like that just to adjust my alignment.

As for the Tanabe's, if you have a sport suspension, Tanabe doesn't offer a spring that is comparable to the OEM sport suspension. Tanabe's are actually softer than the sport suspension in the rear and not much stiffer in the front (350z GF210). I know your looking for stock ride quality, but if I were to get springs, I'd at least want some type of performance out of it for my money.

Oem linear springs
G35 coupes 2005/2006 with oem 19’s only
350Z 2004.5 to 2006 (revised suspension)
Front:314 Rear:427

Tanabe GF210 Series 350Z progressive springs 1”/1.2” drop on 350Z G35 drops will be higher
Spring rates in LBS 336/375 (only peak rates are published, softer initial progressive rates unknown)

Tanabe NF210 Series 350Z progressive springs 1.2”/1.2” drop on 350Z G35 drops will be higher
Spring rates in LBS 314/353
Beware, a 1.2" drop spring is no increase in stiffness vs oem, G35 users have it even worse since your oem shocks are 3/4" taller vs oem Z shocks.

Tanabe NF210 Springs G35 COUPE progressive springs 1”/,6” drop on G35 coupe G35 sedan drop will be higher
Spring rates in LBS 297/336
Beware, a 1" drop on springs that are softer then oem springs.

Tanabe DF210 G35 COUPE progressive springs 1.7”/1.3” drop on G35 coupe, G35 sedan drop will be higher
Spring rates in LBS 308 /353
Beware, a 1.7" drop in the front on a spring that is softer then oem

Tanabe NF210 G35 SEDAN progressive springs 1.6”/.9” drop on G35 sedan
Spring rates in LBS 297/269
Beware, a large drop on springs that are softer then oem.

Tanabe DF210 G35 SEDAN progressive springs 1.7”/1.5” drop on G35 sedan
Spring rates in LBS 286/280
Beware, a large drop on springs that are softer then oem

As for the Eibach's:
Eibach 350Z progressive springs 1”/1” drop* on 350Z G35 drops will be higher
Spring rates in LBS initial/final front 296/384 initial/final rear 316/421

As far as rear camber, go for SPC or Ichiba with toe bolts. Best adjustment for your price, with Ichiba being a cheaper rebranded version of the SPC.
