Hey guys, sorry i havent really had a chance to really go under the car and checkout the exhaust and how the frame rails sit. But i was just curious if this piece that is highlighted in yellow is like a brace? or what? Ive seen some pictures of 350z's without them, but all the g35 pics i find them on the cars? I just know im scraping the hell out of it on speed bumps and i wanna make sure its ok that i am.

 

It is a brace and mine looks like crap, its only held in with 3 of the 4 center bolts because one got kinked from impact. I think its like $130 from the dealer.

 

Would i suffer anything if i took it off? i keep scraping the crap out of it and its just a SUPER annoying sound by the time the speed bump hits it.

 

here is my advice: keep it, i had 2 replaced already, if it wasn't for that extra junk the body/muffler would of took the hit costing more $$$$$$$
