GOING WITH BC RACING COILOVERS...help

Hello All,

I have a 2004 G35 Coupe 6MT TPMS...

So I've finally decided to lower my car and im purchasing the BC Racing coilover set up.

Would I need to get a good Camber kit for this set up?

depends how low you are going.
more than 1", yes you will need Camber kits to save Tires.

most people run SPC in the rear, but fronts are a bit trickier depending on how low you want to go/adjust (and spend).

Hmm...i don't want to lower too much. in fact I will probably use the softest settings on the coil-overs (almost max height). Anyone know how far that will drop down?

Will i still need the camber?

I installed them on my '03 coupe. I set the rears to the highest and needed rear camber kit and toe bolts. Ended up getting front camber kit because i wanted to lower the front to make a more even drop.

Why would you get coils if your not going to lower it more than an inch and have it close to max height?

Too much spending at one time? LOL... I did exterior, exhaust, suspension, and brakes all at one time...

From the sounds of it, I guess I'm going to get SPC Camber and toe bolts... anyone have other recommendations?

If you are going to lower less than h-techs you most likely won't even need a rear camber kit, much less a front kit. If you were already planning on getting camber kits I don't see how dropping lower would make it cost any more than that...

spc rears are good and spc fronts would suit you until you decided to drop very low, then go spl

your toe will be withing specs which does the most wear on the tire. If you care about being in factory settings then yes. I was fine with -2.25 camber in the back and -1.50 in the fronts with about 2 inch drop all around... The tires lasted me 20k with agressiv driving and switching from side to side.

thanks for the info. This car is really going to be a daily driver, so dropping it really low wouldn't be good for the car or the kit that's going to be put on it... =P It's not going to be tracked as of yet, so super low wasn't in my mind at all. However, I don't want huge inner tire wear, which is why I was thinking of getting the camber kit...if I need to.

It seems everyone is saying SPC or SPL though.

So I would need SPC Rear Cambers at least. do they typically come with Toe bolts? Also, would I need a camber kit with rear steer? not sure what that is...

I would start out with SPC rear camber with the toe bolts included, then if you decided to drop the front more/can't get it close enough to spec then look into getting spl fronts so you don't have to worry about it again.

Spc kit is more than enought for the front. I'm dropped more than 2 inches and I still have a lot adjustment with my spc kits
