G37 brakes

hi so I know someone has probably answered this before but I couldnt find a clear answer. I can get a really good deal on the BBK for the stock G37 brakes. will these brakes fit on my 06 G35 coupe? I heard the brackets are different sizes but idk if that would really matter? has anyone done this? also I know Akebono makes a kit for it but I can get them for alot cheaper. any answers??

If you want a nice looking BBK then the Akebonos are for you. If you want to stop on a dime, look elsewhere other than the Akebonos. I had Brembos on my G35 and Akebonos on my G37. The Brembos win hands down.

With upgraded Project Mu NS pads, the braking feel has gotten much better but still not brembo performance. Brembos aren't king but the only BBK that I can compare the akebonos to.

Not a fair assessment. The G35 coupe, compared to the G37, is anywhere between 200-300 lbs. lighter.

If it's worth it to anyone, i had the stock "sport" brakes on my '07 sedan and now have the Akebono's, both on OEM pads. The latter works much better in nearly all aspects. To think, i thought the stock brakes were already pretty decent at the track.

Maybe its just my car b/c nonsport brakes stop better than my Akebonos. I've taken it to the dealership and they said that nothing is wrong. The pistons and seals looked fine when I replaced the rear pads. To each his own.

The thought of putting rotors that weigh 28-30lbs each on actually frightens me.
