Rear brake pad/rotor replacement on a 2007 G35X

Hey all,
I have a 2007 G35X in which i experience some significant brake judder. When took my car to Major Infiniti to have it diagnosed, after 3 hours of waiting (they lost my appt and didn't have a loaner for me) and 70 dollars, I was told that my brakes were but that my rear brakes would need replacement soon. I dont believe that my brakes are fine because i have terrible stopping power. The brake pedal shakes like crazy at highway speeds or going downhill.

I am going to get my rear brakes replaced so I will know for sure that if the problem is still occurring, that it is caused by my front brakes.

My first question is... will there problems if i dont use stock brake pads/rotors? After reading this forum, I was thinking about getting Wagnor ThermoQuiet pads. They seem very reasonably priced and many people have said good things about them on this forum.

Is it okay for me to have a different set of brakes in the front and the rear on an AWD car? I'd prefer not to change the front because they are relatively new and if the rotors are problem i feel like infiniti should pay for it under the TSB.

IF it is okay, can I get some rotor suggestions from you all please?

Thanks a lot!

p.s. i realize there are a lot of "help me pick out brakes" threads but i did a little searching and there wasnt much info for 35X's.
