Rear rubber cone with aftermarket coilovers?

Quick random question - should the OEM rear rubber cone that is on the spring be used with aftermarket coilovers on the coupe? I found where it is NOT used on the 2nd gen coupes/sedans, but I did not see anything about the first gen coupes. Could someone please confirm for me?

I'm assuming oem style, if so you take out the rubber cone since that is where you put the stand where you adjust height. If you search around some of the diy's you can see some pictures of what I'm explaining.

No need for the top OEM rubber springmounts. They are replaced by the adjustable height perch with the coilover. If I remember correctly, you do generally reuse the lower springmount (but I can't remember if there's even one there or not).
