HELP with suspension!
HELP with suspension!
So I'm lost. A little. I'm looking to lower the ride just a little (1-2") with an Eibach prokit, and from searching around here it looks like I'd end up needing to replace the shocks pretty soon after.
My question, if I want the ride to feel like I'm gliding on a velvet frickin cloud, or close to it, and keep the little drop? Anybody have a set up they went with that they LOVE?
He's what she looks like now...a work in progress...

Get Tokico D-Specs and set them to a softer setting. Let the springs settle for a couple weeks after the install, then have it aligned by a good shop. Find out which shop the autocrossers use in your area.

If you're looking at springs a shocks I'd go with a set of coilovers like the Tanabe Pro S-OC. It'll end up being almost the same price as the D Specs and springs and you can adjust your ride height to whatever you like.
Do you run that set up? I guess my biggest question is the the overall ride...cornering, ground clearance, then obviously how smooth the ride is (freeway, city, etc). I do like that you could adjust the height tho.

I run the Tanabe Pro 5 which is the next step up from the Pro S-OC. It offers adjustable dampening which the others don't. Ride quality on both is very good, mine ride way better than the shock/spring combo they replaced (S techs/Z struts).. The S-OC can be found for ~$800 and the Pro 5 were a little under $1200.
If you're going to spend $200 on springs and $550 on D Specs I think this is a good idea for your to ponder. Here's a comprehensive review of the S-OC. https://g35driver.com/forums/brakes-...light=pro+S-OC

I don't think D-Specs are available for the 2nd gen yet. OP seems to have a 2nd gen.
