***** Question about wheel spacers*****
I'm gunna b getting bbk but my wheel offsets don't have enough space for them. Im pretty sure I need 15mm spacers.
My question is: how much do spacers affect ride, alignment etc.?? Is there a danger to running them.? I know everyone runs them, I'm just a newb at the bbk/Spacers thing.?
Any info would adversely help.. Thanks..

Expect no change in ride or your alignment with addition of spacers. They don't alter either. May improve handling a touch by widening the track of the car.
Ichiba V2 spacers are probably your best bet. They're probably the most widely used spacer on this forum, and there have been no documented issues (i.e. failures) with them. I've personally run the 20/25 mm setup on OEM wheels without issue.

This isn't completely true. By changing the track width of the car, you do affect dynamic alignment to some extent, especially toe, & camber somewhat as well. Whether the car will show a static alignment difference is debatable, but it definitely does affect dynamic alignment. Over the long haul and with larger spacers, you can see some effect on tire wear and suspension wear, but it depends on mileage, driving habits, etc. Most people don't seem to report any issues though.

Hey Alf:
I recommend the Ichiba V2 spacers. You should be able to put these on your self pretty easily. I have 20mm front & 25mm rear with base stock wheels. I Put them on about 8 months ago and have an no issues at all. The car look so much better with the wider stance, even with the stock wheels.
The Ichiba V2 spacers are hub-centric (comes with hub rings to fit perfectly), and have built in bolts w/lugnust. Please note that the spacer lugs may not be the same size as the wheel lugs, so you may need two different sockets. Also, keep in mind that you should use between 80 - 85 ft-lb of torque when bolting the spacers and wheels on. I suggest going to an AutoZone and borrowing a torque wrench (free with $100 refundable deposit) if you don't have one, so that you can set to correct foot-pound and and easily change socket size.
Oh, and your front rotors will have a "peg" bolted onto them to prevent placing the rear tire on the front. You will have to remove them to get the spacer on. Also, get someone or something to press the brake while you do the front to prevent the rotors from spinning while you work.
Enjoy!
