Lowering soon, fender roll?
Hey guys,
I am purchasing a set of 350z S-techs tomorrow. I should have them on sometime next week when I have some time. I'm sitting on OEM 19's with 20mm spacers up front and 25mm spacers in the rear. Therefore, that makes my offsets +10 front and +8 rear. With this drop, will I need to roll my fenders? Also, how much longer should my OEM shocks last (ballpark)? I have a 03 coupe with 50k miles. Thanks in advance for your time and help!

Alright thanks a lot!
I'm going with the same exact setup. I already have the spacers on. It's tough to tell if the fenders will have to be rolled or not once it is lowered. If they do, I think I'm just going to do it myself with a rubber mallet and heat gun.

The one that attaches to the hub? That is the only way I would DIY. Pretty cool little tool haha

I'm not sure what the metal is like on Gs/Zs, but I was able to roll a WRX with a Plasti-dipped baseball bat with no problem. Doesn't work so well on Audis or VWs; the metal just turns the bat to splinters.
If you're in a hurry and don't want to deal with a heat gun, get some touchup paint, take an x-acto knife and run it along the edge of the fender. You'll spilt the paint when you roll it, but it'll be a clean break. Sand it and touch it up. Saves about 10 minutes trying to keep the fender hot.

How many miles did your car have before installing the springs? What year and model? Did it have the sport package? I assume the shocks used in the sport package are different and will last longer with after market springs.
i have the same size spacers, oem rays but dropped on eibach and i def needed to roll the rear i have 1 finger space now
even if it doent look like it I would do it anyway, safe than sorry?

Yeah for sure. I'm trying to find someone local who is well known. I moved to San Antonio, Texas, so If anyone knows of anyone send me a PM. Apparently there are a bunch of stanced out Z's around here from what someone told me..
The most important thing about rolling the fenders is heating up the paint before/while doing it. A heat gun would work great, I'm sure a hair dryer would suffice too. The guy who rolled my fenders used a rubber mallet and a heat gun, didn't have any issues with the paint.
