I have Akebono ceramics. They don't have the initial bite of OEM, so probably not the best if you're really serious about AutoX.... though in a G sedan, how serious can one really be?

The reason I chose them though was because they are practically DUST FREE so basically the exact opposite of 03/04 stock

The sedan rally holds its own in Autox which surprised me. It keeps up with 350z when you add sway bars

Yeah I might have to look into dust free, Is ther an easy place to just get oem pads?

+1 for Wagner Thermo Quiet. Great bite. Zero complaints in 10k miles. When I initially bedded in my pads it burned my rotors a little weird....

Im looking to stay away from Wagner anything as I just researched and saw they like to ruin rotor. I will end up getting HAWK HPS or OEM or Greenstuffs possibly.

Weird, I've never read anything bad about them. They are supposed to be the same compound as OEM so not sure why they would do rotor damage. Maybe they were using the ceramics? Who knows, guess I'll find out soon enough.

To each his own b/c I hated the Hawk HPS pads on my brembos. They were not better than OEM pads. My akebono pads come stock with the akebono pads and they suck too. I have the project mu ns pads and they stop on a dime.

^ NS pads are supposedly amazing, but they are hella expensive.

I've been on vacation, so I'll chime in with my usual. StopTech Street Performance pads are awesome all-around performers and affordable. They are well worth the consideration over Hawk HPS and Project Mu NS.

I consider them at $107 shipped to my door a cheap purchase and they are amazing. I've seen $200 pads that are more than I'm willing to pay for one set of pads. So many people spend thousands to make their car .2 of a second faster but skimp when it comes to stopping their $40K plus car.

There are cheaper alternatives that stop just as well but you might have to deal with more rotor wear, brake dust and noise.

idrive_MD, I have heard good things about the stoptech pads.

Nice pictures and all, but a lack of technical specs and performance impressions does not help the consumer make an educated decision.
