A good brake pad summary for a sticky would be very helpful as this question seems to come up quite often and I haven't even been here for that long. Which have good bite (and in winter), dust, noise, track or street (or both), rough cost. Separate into Brembo and non-bremo models too.

I may try to piece one together using the forum but I'm not exactly experienced with the G's yet lol. Trying!...

Names that come to mind:

Hawk
Stoptech
Wagner
EBC
OEM

There are quite a few others, the names escape me now.

^^^I agree. Think I'm going to go w/ the Posi Quiets, since I found them at a killer price.

I did my maintenance check at 36000 and my OEM brakes are still good to go. It all depends on how hard you drive your car.

My G is driven hard, with several hard slow downs from triple digits and serious back road fun...

and my front and rear rotors were fine, just needed turned. The front pads where more than 50% and the rears were closer to 30% with 65k miles. There is another thread on here I posted in that some guys with the 05 setup were able to get higher milage with the OEM setup.

now the brembos were a different story! hahahahaha...

It's funny you mention that. I passed along the same info and a fellow local here in Calgary, AB said he ran them and they're great in winter!

this is a constant question but I am in need of brake pads also and will eventually want to replace rotors and brake lines maybe......what is the best route to go??? I drive a '05 sport coupe non brembo

OEM, Stoptech, Posi Quiet?

I dont race or track but do like to have a little "fun". I live in VA so I need brake pads that will do well with all types of weather.....

I do think someone should come up with a sticky for this

I was not satisfied with my Hawk HPS paired with EBC slotted and dimpled rotors...I liked my OEM's better.

Hawks sucks they weren't grippy and squeal all the time!! I am currently using Project Mu NS and those are good. They have good initial bite and have very minimal squealing. I have them for over 30k and is now going to replace the front with posi quiet. The rears are still doing fine.
