Project Mu NS pads - impressions

Just a quick first impression - yesterday when I mounted my winter wheels, I noticed that my front pads were pretty worn, so I decided to go ahead and install the Project Mu NS pads that I had meant to install in the spring. Install was quick and easy, as it usually is with Brembos, and though I haven't even done a full and proper bed-in yet, the pads were already gripping nicely, even in the 26 degree morning we had here in the Philly area. Initial cold bite was solid, and felt just like the OEM Brembo pads, and there was not a hint of squeal, at least yet. I also like the bluish-green color to the pads.

If these continue to be as good as they were initially, and especially if they dust less, I will be very happy to have found a solid replacement for the OEM Brembo pads at a cheaper price.

Will post more thoughts later after some more miles on the pads.

They take about 1000 miles for the full break in period. I also bedded my pads in and they bite harder after they break in.

Thanks tonke. Good to know. The instructions said to do 20-30 stops from 30mph and normal braking force for bed-in, but that seems counter to what I've seen on other pads, where you're supposed to do repeated hard stops from 45-50mph. It also said that they should be fully bedded by 25 miles or so. Either way, they seem to be very good pads already.
