How much brake fluid

hey guys i just purchased an 05 sedan 5at, and its got about 113,000 miles. i havent seen any evidence that the brake fluid was changed so i wanted to go about doing that. i've looked over the diy so im familiar with the process and im about to order some amsoil brake fluid, my question is how much fluid do i need for a complete flush and fill? it comes is 12oz bottles so im not sure how much to order

You will need about 1/2 liter to completely flush the system. If you are going the AMSOIL route, I hope you are signing up as a Preferred Customer so you can get products at whole sale cost.

I used less than 1 liter (<34oz)of ATE Super Blue to flush the clutch and brake systems, so 2 of those 12oz bottles should be enough. What was nice about the Super Blue, is that it was really easy to tell when the old amber color fluid was out of the system.

I just flushed 1.5 qts of DOT 5.1 though my Mustang... The old stuff was black, and I was determined to keep flushing until it was coming out as clean as it was going in.

I plan to do the G in the spring.

My wifey helped me bleed both the brake and clutch on my racecar this weekend which was awesome considering the temps were in the 30s One container of ATE blue was more than enough for both the brake and clutch reservoirs. Both are of similar size to the V35.

One thing I could suggest is to siphon some of the old fluid out and top it off. That way will shorten the amount of time to do the job. I would also use blue one year and clear the next time so you can tell the difference.
