Non Sport vs Sport Struts and Shocks

Non Sport vs Sport Struts and Shocks
I have a 04 Coupe which came with non sport shocks according to the dealer after running my vin#. If I installed Sports Shocks and Struts would it make a difference or affect anything in anyway. I read somewhere where it said it didnt, any ideas?
