Rear shocks or springs worn ???
Rear shocks or springs worn ???
In searching for which side that "motorcycle" that has been following me ( rear wheel bearings) I found that when I grabbed the tire to check for bearing play that the left side had some up and down "give" to it and the right side wheel did not.
It is as if the spring wasn't fully seated in the cup (it is) or is too short.... There was not any slop in the joints/links etc - just an inch of up travel with the suspension before it gets firm.
Anyone else ever see this?

If your springs are seated properly and there's no play in the bushings or joints, then it is shocks.
Sometimes, a worn or blown shock can still drive normal at ride height for a short period of time before you realize it is in need of replacement. But at full droop, they would have a lot of slack and play.
You are probably not noticing the worn shocks much because of an existing wheel bearing problem that is more noticeable.
