Correct, but it can apply to stock. Would be based on what the original shock's spring rate is. But really doesn't matter since people just buy name brand springs anyway rather than trying to go with a company like Swift for a custom spring rate.

w4kj4k, that's how I felt about it. Good to hear more input. I thought it was just me lol. I'm guessing if they were valved to the newer spring rate it would make a greater difference. I'm hoping Stance can rebuild mine, I wanna do something like 22/20 spring rates.

damn 22/20 lol.
I heard rebuilding one shock is like $100 from different brand. most likely you have pay for shipping.
let us know on how much it'd cost

Won't be for a while but not a bad price at all. Still looking at under 2k for custom coilovers including the cost of coilovers. I wanna find some coilovers with blown shocks or something. Would use those so I have no downtime.

Na, holding onto them for a while. Won't be doing anything anytime soon to them.

prob getting stance gr+ with spc rear and trying to decide on front. only looking at a 2-2.5 drop for now. thoughts?

if not I may get spl rear links to replace the bucket OR a set of MD sways. part of my issue is I'm feeling too much body roll and trying to curb that. again thoughts?

nothing over 1000 is very difficult for DD, i think BC Racing is the right product for you

i have a coupe, i will be getting 19's or 20's with a stretched tire looking for a little bit of an aggressive look with some nice
offsets but nothing to extreme,i would like a coilover that has a good ride quality, good enough
for daily driver and gf friendly but still be able to go low enough where it looks good, "for example but does not have to be that low"

http://www.stancenation.com/2010/04/...-infiniti-g35/

price range 1700 roughly and under.. any suggestions

Coilover: KBee
Style: OEM
Spring Rate: 12K/12K (Swift Springs)
Drop potential: Frame Banger
Adjustability: Height is as easy as any coilover. Dampening for the front is easy, The rear needs to be off the car.
Stiffness: Ridiculous on full still. Pretty comfortable on full soft.
Harshness: You can feel the road beneath you, but you don't hate it.
Price point: These are extremely rare JDM coilovers. They are only available in Japan. @$1200 US.

Blain: Do you still like the stance 14k / 8k setup? When i called and asked about getting a stiffer spring rate, they said it would be best it was revalved?

The Tanabe Pro 5 can be had for under $1200 through a couple of vendors on here and I love mine. Ride great and the only thing that could be the issue for some is the available drop won't let you slam it if that what's you're going for. I'm maxed out here with one spring collar F/R removed. I'm dropped 3" over stock height.
