I have BFGoodrich KDWs and I know they are prone to be loud but like I said I switched them out and it still made the noise

I'd say since they only checked the tire for wobble, you should check the bearings themselves and make sure.

Mine didnt have any wobble at all, but the tech checked the bearings and found that they were seized on both fronts. I still get alot of road noise, but now I know that its the tires. So hopefully once I change those out, I'll be good to go. Just dont know what brand are quiet.

There is a DIY on here for the wheel bearings. The fronts look simple enough to do but the rears are little more intensive.

$20 it's inner tread feathering. Let me guess, the noise is more prevalent when braking below 40mph. The inner tread block will feel bumpy or scalloped.

Front tire inner tread block feathering. You've got it. An alignment most likely won't fix it either. There's a problem with the suspension geometry in these cars that cause the issue. It's not the toe setting either.

Probably - I had this issue with my previous tires due to the control arm bushings.

However, I hit a pot-hole and its only on one side so i'm pretty sure an alignment will fix it.

Also, I've been lowered for 3 years now and a ton of miles with no issues until my control arm bushings went bad. I don't think its the suspension geometry.

Took it to the shop an they said it is the tires big time not wheel bearings. The fact that the KDWs are agressive tires and they are cupping makes a bad combination. I felt the inside tread on the fronts and it feels like scales between the treads. I tried swaping the tires left to right on the front and back and the noise didnt go away.

For my 05. How dangerous is it to drive on worn out bearings? I can't change it for another two weeks.

EDIT:
TIMKEN Part # BM500013 Ball Bearing; Rectangle (Mod) Flange Shape
X; Sedan; AWD; Front

Is that the right part?

yeah, that should be the right part as long as you looked it up under 2005 AWD.

you should be ok to drive on it for a little longer but realize that you should swap out both at the same time (i think you were planning that anyways)

I was looking under non-AWD 2005 and that's the one that came up. I'm also switching both at the same time yes. Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it. Cheers!

If you have close to 100K, I would recommend replacing both front bearings. Your rear bearings are going to PEACE OUT soon too. The wheel bearings in our cars are TERRIBLE. I'm pretty sure half of our forum is riding on dangerous bearings.
