Help with choosing brakes
I am going to get a big brake kit for the front of my G35. I am trying to decide between the doing a Rotora 13" 4 Piston kit, a Akebono G37 brake kit, or a K Sport 13" 8 piston kit for my car. They are all in my budget and was wondering which one would be the best for performance, life etc. Thanks for your help.
I've run a too big of a front bbk on my maxima. Wrongly biased brakes suck. You just end up locking the fronts.
I guess if you have the oem brembo rears you might have a chance but don't think so with the 16's you mentioned?

I just have the non brembos that came on my 05 G35 auto factory. Can I just a different proportioning valve to adjust the bias? Does anyone know if the 300zx turbo wheels will clear factory rear Brembo brakes?
300zx turbo wheels are 16x8.5 w/35mm offset, but will not clear factory Brembos due to the diameter of the rear setup (rotors are 13.07" vs. 11.6" for Z32).
If you don't want to mess w/proportioning valves, you could go with the Stoptech ST-40 front kit, since it's supposed to be correctly balanced for the factory brake bias, but you still won't be able to run TT wheels on the car then. You'll need at least 17's, and probably 18's. I would assume that goes for all of the BBK's.
