Spring Questions

Hi all,
I know this has probably been asked time and time again.

I bought a 2007 G35s 6MT sedan and want to lower it. I am cost conscience otherwise I would go with a nice coilover kit!

I found a great deal on some Tein S-Tech's. However, they are for a 2006 Coupe. Will they physically still fit (Gen I vs. Gen II) and how much more would they lower my car?

Also, I used to be a hardcore Mustang guy (pre-family!). Anytime you lowered one, you needed to change the shocks/struts. Is the same true with the G's. I know it would probably be preferable, but is it necessary right away?

Thanks for your help!
Tim

The drop for the G35 s techs on a sedan is F-2" / R-1.3"
The 350Z s techs should drop it slightly further, not sure how much though.
The oems struts prob won't match up to well to a drop over 2".
If your looking to save money on the struts I would most likely swap them out for a lightly used set of Tokico HPs or D-Specs.
Here's a link to all the spring/coilover drops.

Coupe springs will lower the sedan .5" more.
If you are looking at a drop thats more than an inch you are going to want to invest in some front and rear camber arms and Toe bolts for the rear.

Thanks for the help! I really didn't want to go more than 1.5 - 1.75" as it is my daily driver. I was thinking eventually I would have to get camber arms, etc too.

Physically, are the springs interchangable (GenI & II, 350Z, G35, G37, etc)?

Yes asfar as I know the gen1 and 2 are interchangable.

Look for Ichiba, SPC, SPL, Kinetix, Megan racing, Cusco, etc. Along those lines. Check the vendor area under the market place
