Painted my calipers
Finally got a garage today to update the look of my Stock calipers a lil. I used G2 Caliper paint-silver.
And man I dunno about you guys who have done this but my 2005 had soooo much brake dust caked on them and a good amount of rust on the rear calipers. So basically a few helpful tips after my experience for anyone wanting to do this!
I found these toothbrush style Wire brushes from Canadian tire and man did they make my life alot easier! By the way the brake cleaner did not break up the thick coated dust much at all. Basically just go to town spraying brake cleaner and use the wire brushes a ton. Spent about 2 hours on 4 calipers cleaning them up.
Also I sanded down the casting line a bit to clean it all up and any rust. Then cleaned them up very nice before painting.
Here is a during shot! I will post after pics tonight/tomorrow! For now here is a Hovercar pic!
