stiff suspension question

hey,
new to the suspension world, whats the point of having a stiff suspension? im getting my kw coilovers installed in a few days and was wondering if putting it on full stiff settings will make the car scrape less? (less bounce) is this true?

Lol how you get coils and dont know the functionality of em, some people set them at full stiff if they do time attack or track their g's but if you have a daily driven G is best to set them at medium stiff so you can feel some of the softness of a stock suspension, the purpose of getting coils is to go low and not bottom out and damage something under your car.
