Choosing a set of coils

So, given my requirements I've decided that coils are the way to go. However, I'm unsure where to start as I see tons of options with little to differentiate them.

- My coils will definitely experience winter weather roads, so durability is a factor
- Ease of adjustment is a huge factor
- I'm not looking to spend top dollar, but I want to get the job done right, not done cheapest - unless "cheapest" and "right" can meet.
- What do I need to go with the coils? Just f/r camber kits? Do these automatically include the toe I keep hearing about? What should I be looking for in this area?

Thanks in advance

I saw that, but it doesn't really answer my questions!

For $1k it seems like BCR coils might be the way to go... anyone know anything about their durability? ...And what a good f/r camber kit would be? Thanks!

Megans brand new are less than 1k...tein basics in some places are less than 1k too...that thread i told u to go to has all the info like ride height, stiffness ratings and all that...i wonder what other stuff u needed to know that wasnt there lol! I run megan street coils though...their ok for me...they can get ur car slammed and can get ur car back to spec...ive had tein basics before and their ok...i cant speak for other coils cuz these two are the only ones ive experienced and from different cars...but if u wanna ball out of control and go for comfort...i heard and read that hks is the way to go...just tryin to help

I appreciate it! I'm still in the dark about durability, primarily, especially in rough climate conditions. And about camber/toe kits and bushings.

Talk to S&R Performance about the BCR coils, he recommended them to me over anything else he sold.

What's the car used for? Daily? If so look into spc front and rear camber kits. Also, look at kw v1. Most 1000$ coils are junk and not better than stock.

Thanks for the advice, how are their prices compared to other places?

Understood, but are the BCRs junk, or just a good deal? And why do you recommend those camber kits in particular? Thanks!

Bc are ok. Their dampening sucks. Spc is a ok kit. It's not the most expensive or the cheapest. Spl kits would run you 7-800$. Spc 5-600. Kinetix 3-400$. I don't recomend kinetix.

i cant tell whether youre referring to coils or camber kits.

i should mention that easy adjustability is also a factor.

You need to read this

Don't buy anything until you read that..

So I read it, but it really didn't do a whole lot more than add clouds to my vision. It looks like I need bushings too probably? Are the camber kits going to come with the appropriate toe hardware? Should I be looking at additional items above and beyond the coils and camber kit, or are those really niche additions? And then there's control arms vs. camber arms and all the other terms

And very importantly... what are some quality coils that can take northeastern weather?

Thanks

I'm bumping this because well I'm pretty much looking for the exact same as OP and I've gone through the coilover review thread and I don't see reviews for any of the following:

- Tein Street Basic Coilover System
- HSD HR Coilover System
- Megan Racing Street Coilover System

I've listed the above three based on a local company's recommendations. As much as I don't want my car to be my DD through the winter it most likely will so quality and ease of adjustment is essential.

Any help, reviews, recommendations you guys can provide would be appreciated.

Thanks

Of those choices probably Teins or HSD. I had a set of Super Streets before and liked them. They rode smooth for daily driving. If you're going to push your car though they leave a bit to be desired.
