I know, that's why im so confused on what to do. I definitely don't want to get an alignment, then realize I need a camber kit, then get an alignment again.

 

I'm dropped on Z s techs and my front tires started to show camber wear even after I got an alignment. I recently purchased the SPC front camber kit and I am now back to spec. I would say to just buy it.. You'll need it sooner or later. Also have the rear camber kit, I purchased it when I first bought the springs.

 

2-3 months replacing tires!!???? Your doing it wrong then, what exactly are you dropped on? Whats your camber at?

Not sure if your camber wear is really bad, but for me I get camber wear and get that awful noise that comes with it from the tires. But its not to the point where my tires get bald in 2-3 months like you. I still have plenty of tread on those hankooks. Now if price is a factor IMO it pays itself off because tires are expensive and a set of good tires would run 800+. You would atleast be saving yourself a set of tires with this camber kit.


I have SPL V3 front arms and they are solid, I was so amazed at the product that I didnt feel guilty afterwards about spending the money of it. Currently I am not into spec which I think is -1.5 or something like that, maybe someone can chime in. If I remember right I am at -2.5. Which is perfect for me, no complaints. Im sure I could go back into spec but would need to do what BlueDream said in this thread.

If you want a set that will have NO issues ever, bite the bullet, check our vendors for the best pricing, and get the SPL. I did mad research before I bought mine and even though a lot of people run the SPC, there were far too many issues with them for me to take a chance. As someone already said, they didn't play well with his BBK and we have a local member that installed them over a year ago and his dash is still lit up and he can't get them to work properly. All other front kits are a moot point as the SPC and SPL are the only kits that offer any significant positive camber and for the love of God don't buy anything with the Ichiba name.

The SPL arms will correct up to 2.5* of positive camber if you use the heim joints at the end of each arm to adjust. The shims are awesome but limit the correction to around 1.25* positive which wasn't enough for me. On my sedan I'm dropped 3" and have been able to get back into factory spec on camber and toe on all 4 corners. It has eliminated all of my crazy tire wear and I couldn't be happier. Also the service from SPL can be great, I have the V2 arms and was given an upgrade kit to the V3 parts for free, a few more Driver members got the same deal. man i just bought spc arms front and rear today for my 05 sedan dropped on 350z h&r springs, the front came back into spec but the rears only came back to -2 before the arms maxxed out?! how is everyone else getting back to spec?? im tired of chewing threw rear tires

 

^I think mine are around -2 also, as long as your toe is good the tires will still last.

 

hmm people seem to have more rear tire problems then front tire issues.. maybe mines to aggressive in the front.. oh wells..

 

^Before I had a camber kit, my fronts were gone long before the rears so your not the only one.

 

ah okay, I think im getting ready to pull the trigger soon on the kit.. just gotta see if I want to drop $650 or $350 lol.

I was looking at going either with SPC or SPL and I feel like I need to bite the bullet and go with the SPLs....

Ouch.. I too need front camber arms (I have rear SPC) and from my research the SPL and SPC are pretty much the only safe bets.. SPL being the preferred choice.

BUT gesh- not looking to spend $400-$800 on front arms alone.. Any advice from people or links to deals? Thanks in advance.
