Springmount Mod Q
Springmount Mod Q
Has anybody had trouble with this? All the places I have asked for help getting this mod done (I dont have tools or the space to do currently) have all shuddered at the mention of it, and wouldnt help. I am currently on 350Z H-techs and like many have noticed before the rear drop is minimal if any. I am even considering getting some 350Z S-tech rears to get the drop down if the springmount idea fails.
Thanks all for your input.

The material the springmounts are made of is a b!tch to cut through, I helped a friend do his and we used a sawsall with WD40 as a lubricant. Was still a pain in the butt but can be done.
I did mine in my apartment on the countertop.
Like blue dream said it's a b!tch to cut through, especially if you don't have a vise to hold it in.
I used a $12 hacksaw from Sears and plenty of wd40.
you'll need to spray the mount with wd40 after every 10 swipes with the saw to keep it from binding up.

There's no negative side to it except that you can't undo it once it's done, and good luck getting any reputable place (not race shop those are different lol) to do it, I seriously doubt they would. Access
To power tools really helps, if you want to mail em to me and pay return shipping I'll cut em for you
