Street series has OEM rear setup. i seen another thread of the BC racing coils can be retrofitted to rear true coils. I was looking at my set up and it seems like it could be done with the megans without buying a kit to retrofit.
is there another post on this? can someone lmk if its been done or can be done.
If not i might give it a try and see if it works out for me.
Ive never heard of anyone doing it with these megans street series.
well considering the coilovers for bc and megan are made by the same manufacturer you could assume the bc conversion kit could work with the megans. sorry i couldnt help. good luck
yeah.. but knowing that they made the kit for the bc because the spring and the perches was made differently but with the megans they look like could fit, maybe just a new top hat might be needed.
Anyone got an idea yet on this thread lol? I know it’s been years but I’m a younger G35 owner. I also made the same mistake of purchasing divorced rear coilovers. With what it comes with for the bucket spring seat, it appears like the collars and rings may be able to thread onto the rear shock with the spring seated/ preloaded just as if it was a true rear. Correct me if I am wrong but it may be a different thread pitch. As the posted picture also shows, Megan does sell a true style for the street ezII. Or at least advertised. When I ordered my coils they were advertised as true rear and I got sent divorced rears, now I’m wondering if they are convertible on their own. Idk what happened to my order because I got the front struts shown in the true rear style, but divorced setup in the rear…the springs on the divorced rear are also linear…
