Small metal plate fell off G35x Sedan, can you identify it?

I was in the garage and I found this metal plate on the floor, im pretty sure it fell off the car, its rusted pretty bad. About a year ago another one was found on the floor but I don't think it was related to the car, now I believe they are.

Its solid metal, with two small attachment points at the ends that appear to have broken off due to corrosion over time.

If you can Identify it and tell me its purpose I would greatly appreciate it, thanks.

The car in question is a 2004 G35x Sedan with 130,000 miles.

Possibly heat plate/shield?
