interchangeable struts

so i have a set of Bc coilovers but i trying to run 20x10.5 all around and i feel that the BC's are not stiff enough at my current ride hight for the Cali dips on the highways because i rub from time to time. so what i was thinking is that i would just swap out just the struts for a better ones IE stance, zeal, hks ect. insted of buying a whole new set. has anyone ever tryed this??? i think most coilover struts are the same size for the most part..... im looking into a set of swift spring hoping that will help a bit also. any info on interchangable coilover parts would be nice thx

I've heard of this being done before, however you'll need to confirm the actual dimensions of the shocks themselves. IE: You'll need to contact some of those manufacturers and see if their shocks are the same specs as yours.

In my opinion you should just either get stiffer springs, or you should just get different suspension altogether.

Your probably better off changing out the springs rather than the struts. Take a look at Swift springs and get whatever spring-rate you want. Pretty sure that'll have the more significant impact.

Honestly you can't really tell by photos, even if it's off by a couple millimeters it probably won't work.

Stiffer springs will help, yes.
