Annoying creaking noise from front end
Annoying creaking noise from front end
I've read a ton about creaking/squeeling/knocking noises and I can't seem to pinpoint what it is in my situation. I've looked at my suspension/sway bar end links/compression rod with my mechanic and I don't think its any of these making this annoying noise.
It happens so frequently, I go over little bumps and it makes this high pitched creaking noise. It doesn't make any noise when I'm turning like the other scenarios. Its only when I am going over uneven pavement. It seems like it is on the driver side only but I could be wrong.. going over speed bumps it'll creak as well.
Could it be the door issue thats on that sticky or did we overlook the sway bar endlinks/compression rod bushings (the obvious noise makers)?

If you have not replaced them in 30k miles, most likely the compression rod bushings. The bushings themselves can be replaced (vs. the entire arm), so the cost is reasonable. These wear so quickly that Infiniti should have added them to the 30k mile service.
Endlinks would be my second guess. The rear ones wore out on me at 60k miles, and I am replacing the front at 93k miles.
Replace both and you will enjoy how solid the front end feels.
Not familiar with the door issue. I have an annoying squeak in the drivers side in the front and I am wondering if that is the issue.

I had the same issues with SLICK and ended up replacing my Bilstein shocks with Tokico D specs. Replaced my compression rods, the bushings literally fell out when unbolted. I still had noises so I took her to my tuner and every bolt was torqued, anything that might squeak was hit with spray. The most obvious thing we found was my right rear sway endlink was again loose (third time) so the nut was replaced and we added some loctight and torqued it down. Now she's quiet and more fun to drive, unwanted noises are a PIA!
