Drop vs Camber question

How drastically would camber be affected with a 1.1-1.5" drop?

You're not going to have a ton of camber with a one inch or so drop but you'll definitely need an alignment!

If you want everything to be in spec, look into a camber kit.

I've read somewhere (maybe here?) that for every 1" you lower = -.8 degree camber.

Anyone have a pic of a coupe with a 1-1.5" drop with natural camber after the alignment. I've had my S Techs in my trunk for wks terrified to install them without camber kits. I want to see what the camber looks like before I do it. I've searched but there are so many damn threads about this crap.

Your question isn't what we normally see but the simple fact is regardless of how much you lower your G you'll need a total camber kit! This has been discussed since I became a member here and likely before. Your expense for lowering should include springs, SPL camber kit and alignment + install labor. Tires aren't cheap without a camber kit you'll be buying new rubber at least once a year if you drive your G....Gary

Maybe it's too soon to tell but I've been dropped on sportlines which is what 2"? It's been a month and there's no signs of wear at all yet and I haven't even had it realigned yet

By the time you notice camber wear it'll probably be too late. I had off-camber on my Saab but did not know. I check/look at my tires regularly...one day tires looks great a couple of months goes by and boom...camber wear on inside tire. At which point tire was beyond rotating or salvaging.

I don't think visually it will make too much of a difference, if that's what you're worried about. If you want the maximum life out of your tires just buy a camber kit. Otherwise just have your toe straightened out and you should still see a decent amount of life out of your tires. Just be cautious about how much tread you have left and where its wearing.
