Spring Bucket Squeak

I recently switched my coilover setup from an OEM style to a true coilover and now I noticed that my spring bucket squeaks.

Has anyone else experienced this as well?

Should I just tighten some bolts, or is it not a big deal?

Doesnt seem like your spring bucket would squeak, if there was any squeaking it would more than likely happen with a spring there considering the extra moving parts.

Sounds like something is loose else where.

If you're really worried about it you could replace the bucket with the SPL rear toe links. They basically do very little except add some toe adjustment (no weight savings to speak of) but SPL stuff is pretty and whatnot.

I agree with Ksport though, it would seem unlikely to have a squeak from an unloaded bucket. Next time you're under the car check to see if the bushings are worn, make sure you got the right bolts in (rather than swapping the cup bolts for the strut bolts) and verify that they are torqued down to spec.

Also double check the top coilover bolts, the two 10/12mm (I forget) bolts that attach it to the body up top. Very easy to forget about those while you're fighting with the bottom half and if there's any movement because they're only hand tight it'll make some noise... or so I'm told. I wouldn't ever make that mistake because I was stupid drunk putting a suspension together, oh of course not

The only reason why I think it's the empty bucket is because after I removed the spring it started making that sound. And it can't be the two little bolts because they're not hand tightened.

But also, it didn't make that noise with my 19s, only with my oem 17s so it's kinda tricky.
