Tokico D-Specs / Blue - REVIEWS?
Tokico D-Specs / Blue - REVIEWS?
Hi,
another thread about what I should go with for Struts,
I was still thinking about going with Bilsteing HD struts but Im getting mixed reviews about ride performance and ride quality and theyre Expensive, around $875 for a set of four.
So I might go for a cheaper set such as Tokico, but i havent seen any reviews on the D-specs and very little on the Blue.
Can anyone chime in on both please , i plan to pair the struts with Tein H-Techs
I have enough money for the Bilstein but is it worth it ?
What I am looking for is RIDE COMFORT, STOCK HEIGHT and HANDLING, im not looking to road race nor drift, my G35 coupe is my DD.
Thanks

Well.. u said u wanted to pair with H techs.....g35 coupe ones will lower u .6front and .3 rear....so the blues will be a savings in $ for an OEM feel...if u go lower then one inch...d specs are better so u can adjust damping to match lower drop on springs...

thankyou its a G-thin and gary C, ya i dont want to fiddle around with settings, too much of a hassle. im starting to like the Tokico blue more and its cheaper ! like $400, just want a nice feel and comfiness with OEM spec height
I've been on OEM springs and D-specs for a couple of years and really like the combo on my DD. Definitely tightens up the handling (better rebound damping is the key) without being overly harsh or punishing. My only complaint is that I've had two front D-specs go bad on me, and had to be replaced.
i hope it was just bad luck for that case, but i just hate to have adjustments i would never use, or if i have to adjust itll be a pain to do so for the rear, the fronts i can imagine are easy since they are exposed in the engine bay.
