Recommendation for coilovers

So I've been doing a lot of research as to where to go with this. I own a set of tein basics that purchased from a friend and was going to have them rebuilt.

I've been looking at different set of coilovers like BR, stance, kw and such. Trying to stay around the 1k mark. Not looking to race. Just the occasional auto x and poker runs lol.

I just want to hear what setup you have. How stanced you are and how the car rides and handles.

Thanks for the advice

Stance. Dropped maybe 2 inches from stock, going lower this weekend since I got my fenders rolled. Car rides smooth with no complaints on full stiff settings. Handles great. Highly recommend.

Yea. I hear that stances are great for slamming. I'm actually moving to the Dominican Republic in he summer and I'm bringing my car with me. And the roads there are not the best lets say lol. So coilovers are great bc I can adjust the ride height.

How much did you get yours for if new and from who. What camber kit are you running. And how much camber

Yeah I love that. I got mine for 1150 shipped from a vendor on here. I saw them go for like 1k shipped on Black Friday. I have spc front and rear. I think my camber is within spec if not then only off by a bit. No noticeable inner tire wear though.

I'm running Buddy Club coils. They can slam the **** out of the car, run em full stiff and they still handle good.

Stance and BC seem to be the popular choice for our cars. I've ridden in a G with Stances and it was really good. Made me almost sell mine to get a set.

Gary you're right I do love my coils. However I'm running the Tanabe Pro5's, not the BC's.

Hey blue dream. Thanks. I actually read all through that sticky and I learned a lot about spring rates and such. But I'm looking for personal experience. Not just info.

I want to know how you've used them and if they held up to what they say. Maybe the customer service side of things.

I have a brand new set of tokico d specs and tein s techs that I've had since December. But I'm trying to figure out if there is a better choice for me. I like the idea of the d specs. But being stuck in one height could hinder me in my move. Like I said. In the Dominican Republic the roads are pretty horrible most places and some don't even have roads. Although I'm going to have a diesel truck there I still want to use the G in the city. Plus I can't wait for all that cheaper labor to be around. Paint, interior, etc.....

Right now in sort of leaning towards BC but stances are close second

Can anyone with d specs chime in too

What do you mean by stuck at one height? Are you looking for something that can raise you above stock height??? If so, you'll really have to check up on the specifics of each coilover, I don't think most can raise above stock height...

No no. Stock height is more than adequate for driving in the city. It's just if I drop more than an inch I could get Into some trouble. The sewage system there is not all that great and if it rains many streets get flooded and there's no way our cars would go through.

And since I'm boosted I don't want any water going into my intercooler and intake pipes. So having the ability to control my height is a big plus.

And what I meant by stuck is. If I go with what I already own. The d specs with the s techs I would be fixed at one height and if I wanted to change that I would have to do a spring swap

OP after reading more about your situation, it sounds like air suspension would actually be your best bet for what you want. A lot more expensive, but you may wanna look into it.
