Still not satisfied, went to Precision Z Service in Canoga Park for an alignment $85.00. Keeping in mind they sell my SPL adjustable a-arms, should know how to adjust them??? Final front after "all they could do" was Left front -0.7 and Right front -1.1 had hoped they could have gotten closer. I spent $85= for nothing, zero improvement? Emailed them back with this question, we'll see what kinda response I get. SLICK turned 47K miles on a Sunday romp thru the hill and twisties in the back country of Frazier Park, 60 miles north of my location in Valencia.

Gary, you can get up to 2 degrees more positive camber on the SPL arms by unscrewing the heim joints at the end of the arms. That's how I got my front end back in factory spec. Take Slick back to Precision and have them do this, you'll be pleased with the results.

Am I getting close to getting the job done right??

Got a call back from Precision Z. They claim I didn't tell them I had SPL adjustable a-arms, although I did. Have an appointment for Wed morning to adjust them right for an additional cost. The mechanic doing the alignment couldn't have missed the SPL a-arms if he'd been blind even if I hadn't told them! They look just a little different than OE....

In the continuing drama over my alignment this morning they discovered that the left side has two med shims and the right side one small. The heim joints are backed off as much as the safely can be. So, called SPL and they're sending me a few more shims at no charge due to the results I got from their sway end links. My neighborhood alignment shop never saved the extra shims when they installed the latest a-arms. Try to get er done right next week. Want my camber set equally on both sides -.80 degrees....Gary

and damm. that doesnt sound like a fun experience just for an allignment...

i think im .8 off in the back left cause he said they couldnt get it any further without snapping something. so ima just rotate the back tires until i inevitably do something to the rear suspension and need another allignment

He's talking about the SPL a-arms when referring to the shims. There should be 2 small and i med on each side.

Ok, got the shims I needed last week from SPL and had Precision Z align SLICK this morning. Results were -.8 right & -.7 left, I doubt you could have gotten any better with SPL adjustable a-arms. Now I can buy new Michelin Pilot Super Sports for the front some time in the near future without concerns about uneven wear.
