BBK questions
Hey everyone,
Just posted in the coupe forum that my car was unfortunately totalled by insurance but I'm taking it back as a salvage + some extra cash.
Anyways I'm getting at a Stoptech BBK, got some quotes form vendors on the boards.
Yes I am buying this mainly for the aesthetics but I do take my car to the track on occasion (probably twice per year).
Out of curiosity anyone know any good installers for brake kits in southern california (orange county)?
Thanks!

How easy is this? I've gone under it to toss on my catback exhaust... but brakes are a lil different haha. I would feel comfortable tossing on the rotors and calipers but how about the ss lines? Any tuning involved or it should work as is after installing? One of my buddies said he's done this on his 240 and it runs fine.
Just thinking about what would happen if for some reason the install didn't go as planned =P no brakes....

If you can bolt on your exhaust you can change the brakes. Adding the SS lines is no big deal, they bolt right on. Especially since you're in OC, you probably won't have to deal with rust or stuck parts like our Northern brothers and sisters have to deal with.
Just make sure you look up a brake DIY if you've never done them, confirm you have all the parts you need including the adapter brackets for the frontsm brake fluid and whatnot, be prepared with a variety of tools as you will have to trim dust shields, etc., and give yourself plenty of time to finish the job so you don't rush through it. It also helps to have a second set of hands especially when it comes to bleeding the brakes to finish the job.
