Hey guys,

I was wondering how much of the rear springmount should be cut in order to achieve a perfectly even drop with the front when dropping with Tein S Techs. Is it 1/2"?

It's different on every car. You'll have to install the springs and let them settle for a week or so then measure the fender to ground distance both front and rear. Take the difference then chop those pesky mounts and you'll be good.

 

Thanks for the response. I was getting everything installed today and paying labor for the work...would hate to pay it twice. I know most guys do it 3/4" so I thought 1/2" would be safe...maybe I'll do it 1/4" for now until it settles and if it's not even I'll have to pay the labor one more to get it cut some more..

 

I believe Big C (Chris) did a DIY a few years ago SEARCH. Your idea about 1/2" is the best idea, being on S Techs you're front end will be pretty low. I have a lot of $$ tied up in my exhaust system if I cut any off I'd hit the tips backing into a curb.
