I own an 06 G35x, my father has an 09 G37x, and his (unsurprisingly) has better brakes. The rotors are the exact same size. Aftermarket pads are the same part, according to Advance Auto Parts. Infiniti OEM has the pads under different part numbers; which could be a multitude of reasons, but that could include a compound difference that makes the '09 pads better.

My thinking is to buy a set of '09 OEM pads, and put those on my car. Logically, rotors are the same size, part numbers of aftermarket pads are the same... so is there any reason the Infiniti pads can't switch right over?
