Checking rear rotors for damage (brembo)

Recently I discovered my front R1concept rotors are ****kkkkkked after 20k miles. The inside portion of the rotors look like theres been metal on metal damage (50% of the pads are not properly contacting the rotors).

So I know I have to replace the front rotors and pads, but i was wondering if theres an easy way to check the rear rotors for such damage. If i remember correctly, the inside portion of the rear rotors are completely covered by the guard plate. I dont want to have to remove the rear caliper just to check the rotors.
