tokico hp fronts, d spec rears or bilstein?

currently I have hp fronts not installed and was wondering if i should buy tokico d specs for rears. If I wanted to have the same ride quality as the hp blues, what would the setting for d specs be? would it be the softest setting ? someone is selling the d spec rears for $400 shipped. would I just be better off getting bilstein rears? I do not plan on adjusting, just for daily driving. I would prefer geting hp blues all around, but I can not find the hp blues for the rear anywhere. Would getting bilstein rears be to firm matching up with front hp blues?

thank you gentlemen!

Anna there has to be somewhere that's selling the rear "blues". Do you drive a coupe or sedan and what year? I would highly recommend to not run different shocks front and rear, that could be dangerous, especially if you drive the car hard at any time. If you want to PM me more info I can help you find the blues that you're looking for.

Thanks guys! The problem I am running into is that Tokico is having a distributor problem. I called multiple auto part stores and they say that Tokico has a nationwide backorder. I will try again. What can happen worse case from having different shocks from front and rear?

These will work on the G coupe. Not sure what car you drive though.

Thank you! Using Z hp blues, what would I need to modify my 04 g35 coupe to use these shocks, any special mounts? Also, would the Z blues be more stiffer

Nothing is needed to use 350Z HP Blues on a G coupe.
Many people have done it.
Most suggested that the z HPs would be slightly stiffer than the G HPs (Z HPs are about 1/2" shorter).
But I couldn't find anyone that actually ran both on their coupe as a comparison.

BTW, I assume you've checked out all our vendors on here with regards to HP availability.

I just contacted the seller on my350z, he wont sell it to me because I am new to the forums on my350z. I wanted to buy the complete set even though I just need the rears. I guess my search for blues will never end. =(

You will be fine going with a different brand of shocks in the rears. You just don't want to mix side to side, and I personally replace at least two at a time (fronts or rears). What I wouldn't do is go with something that is much more aggressive in just the rears, but you should be fine with just Tokicos or Bilsteins.

I finally found some Z Tokico Hp's, thanks to the irishsig.

Ive spent hours reading and searching about Z Hp's, I read the whole thread that Joker started.

My question is, I currently have a 04coupe, with G Sportline Springs. Will installing Z shocks lower my car another 1/2 inch;some say it does? Do I need bumper stops to use Z shocks. Or is it that simple to install, meaning absolutely no mods to use Z shocks with G springs? I am just worried that when Im having my mechanic install the Z shocks, he would have to stop and say I need additional parts to use the shocks.

I also have a set of G prokits. Still deciding which springs to use with Z shocks. Which setup would you guys prefer. I love the look of lowered car, but I plan to use my G as a DD, and I scrape all the time with the G sportlines w/ oem shocks

You guys have been great! thanks in advance. My journey of modding my G is just beginning

No z shocks will not lower ur car another .5 inch that is false spread info. If u already have ur stops in and not hitting them u shud be fine. It is recommend u cut them with a drop.

...Do u have the sportline springs on now? R u hitting the stops? If yes remove them and cut them .5 inches. If not dont worry. Since the car is lower, its closer to smacking on the stops. Cutting them would stop u from smacking them over bumps.
