Brakes ABS going off when braking at random...

Hey everyone,

I've got a problem that has been happening for a long time now and have no idea what it is. When I brake the ABS goes off (makes that fart noise and can feel it in the brakes). It happens a good 50% of the time randomly. About a year ago I took it to Sewell Infiniti Dallas and they looked at the brakes and did not find any thing. It's to the point it is annoying and worried about what damage it may be causing. Appreciate any guidance!

Inspect the ABS wheel sensors for damage, and or metallic particles on the sensor and hubs tricking the system into thinking a wheel has locked up.

Usually your symptons are caused by false readings in the sensors. Tracking down which sensor, and why is the hard part.

^ +1, your symptoms sound a little similar to what i experienced after one of my ABS sensor wires was damaged.
