Lowering Questions

Have an 06 g35 sedan AWD.

Was looking to get some eibach lowering springs since I'm to poor for coilovers, but I was wondering what else I would need along with the springs. I know a rear camber kit is recommended, but what about struts, shocks, etc? Also are the springs for an AWD sedan different than RWD?

Lowering springs only replace the current springs, while keeping the stock shocks, so technically all you need is springs. Once installed, it can be driven. But your tires will wear a little faster if you don't get an alignment.

Installation of springs varies between $100-300.
Alignment can be as cheap as $40, and rarely over $100 for regular alignment.

I recommend rear camber kit, but if you can't get them yet, you can hold off of them for a bit, but try to get an alignment after lowering springs have been installed.

Not sure on difference between AWD/RWD, but if springs are specifically made for the AWD, get those.

Springs and shocks might not be a bad idea depending on your mileage. Im at roughly 75k on my factory stuff and can start to tell a difference in ride quality.

Yeah when I was looking online sometimes the springs said just for sedan, sometimes they said for RWD. I'll keep looking around to make sure. So you think my stock shocks will be fine? I only have 45k miles on my g.

Does it just add more stress to the shocks making them wear out faster?

You'll be fine, don't worry about it.

If you get the eibach pro kit, the kyb stock replacements work really well. The sport kit is too low tho. You'll have to find a different shock/strut setup. Either kit you will need eccentric toe bolts from spc and a camber kit for the front and rear.
