Tanabe Sustec Pro S-OC Coilovers QUESTION!

Hey so I just bought these and installed them on my stock 2004 g35 coupe and I wanted to slam my car. So this is the first time I've had any experience with coilovers, so I adjusted the plates higher to squeeze the springs in the front, because i thought that would make it go lower (because the spring height is lower) but when I released it off the jack, it was the same as stock height, and so I moved the plates all the way down and the spring was at max height, and this time it lowered it by a lot! So I was really happy with that. I then did the rears, but the rear is different because the plates go the opposite direction to lower the car. So it dropped the front a lot. My tires are already tucking. But the rears are barely noticable. It definitely lowered but maybe like 1mm? Is there a reason for this that someone can help me with? I am new to this and it's frustrating. Is it because that's the lowest setting it can go? Or what? Id like my rears to go even lower. Any suggestions? Thanks guys! By the way, it rides amazing! Way better than stock and stiffer on turns too! No body roll! Even though dampening is not adjustable, it's actually perfect the way it is! I love the way it drives! Im very impressed with the handling. Now I just need the rears to lower some more. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

so your lock ring is against the top of the rear spring mount?

Did you take out the stock rubber spring mount and only use the tanabe rubber mount and tanabe solid mount?

If your rear is maxed out you could take out the lock ring should get you close to a half inch.

Yes the lock ring is all the way to the top.
Yeah I took the stock rubber spring mount and used that iron man looking piece that goes on top of the spring. Oh I can take out that lock ring? Yeah that would drop me another inch I suppose.

Thanks for your reply!

Tanabe S0-C and Pro-5 coils are not the best if you want to go low.

Well I wish I did more research! I thought with all coilovers, you can go really low. I spent a lot of money on these. What coils should I have got?

There's no other way to drop lower on the rears? More than only half an inch? I need to drop 2 more inches

If your maxed out 2 more inches isnt gonna happen. Just buy some chinese full threaded coilovers ebay has many.

Or spend a bit more and get these:

Damn it! I'm so mad. Do you think anyone would buy my Tanabe's for close to the same price I bought them brand new? I installed them so they're officially "used" now. This sucks.

You probably dont have it set to the lowest. My friend installed them on his 350z and he got it pretty low. Post up a picture of you rears coilovers with the wheel off. Maybe I can help you then
