Compression Rod Ball joint in Canada
Compression Rod Ball joint in Canada
Hey guys, so I purchased the energy suspension bushings kit and was going to have it pressed it but the shop I go to told me that the ball joints on my compression rod are no good. They said they can get me the whole piece for 250$, but I need 2. After searching this forum I saw some people purchasing just the ball joint, but the threads I read were in the states only. Does anyone know a company or where I can get the ball joint in Canada or shipped to Canada without having to buy a whole new compression rod? Thanks in advance

Looking on ebay, are these the ball joints I need? http://www.ebay.ca/itm/2-FRONT-LOWER...f1d767&vxp=mtr
edit* don't think these are the right balljoints

Those are indeed the right ball joints. Infiniti will tell you need to replace the whole steering knuckle the fit in but that's BS. Just buy those, take the car to a competent mechanic and have them press out the old ones and press in the new ones.
jcb is talking about compression rod ball joint, not steering knuckle.
Compression rod (http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trks...n+rod&_sacat=0) ball joint is not serviceable.
$250 is decent price, but I would make sure that you are getting Nissan OEM and not crap like Mevotech for that kind of money. You can get OEM for $500/set on ebay.

There is nothing wrong with mevotech. I actually sell mevotechs with energy bushings pressed in and I've had them under 12tons of pressure and they actually dent and chip less easily than OEM. They're perfectly fine, trust me.
I've got mevotech arms (brand new) with energy bushings pressed in, all greased up and ready to install (pop your old rods off, pop these on so you experience no down time) for $290+ shipping for the pair. Shipping to Canada is about $90 tho, so that kinda sucks.
