I just bought a GTSPEC strut bar for my 2003 G35 6SPD coupe and when I went to install it the bar was short by 1/4in for the brackets that came with it. Has this happened to anyone else?

 

Yes. I had to install one base and remove the other entirely, ensuring every nut was loose. With the bar attached, muscle the other run into position and tighten all of the nuts on both sides to get it to install properly.
