Noob rear bushing differential question
Noob rear bushing differential question
What does it exactly do? My OEM bushings are shot on my 03, was recommended to change them to whiteline, can anyone give me there take on this please?
I got quoted 300 labor plus bushings, god damn, its really annoying man. As soon as I fix one problem I find out another. especially during the beginning of the college semester when I have to pay tuition
The bushings keep your diff from wobbling around. Its more probable that the front 2 bushings are still fine. Don't expect the labor to be very cheap since the rear bushing can't be pressed out as easily as the rest.
But yeah i have the same problem, i need a new brake kit and some shocks -.- kinda burning holes in my wallet at the moment. Lol
Rear Differential Kit - WHITELINE
$99 for bushings and $200 for labor. Labor is 2-3 hours. You have to remove the differential, cut out the old bushing, and install the new one. The front diff ones can just be pounded/pressed out.
You can probably drive around on the rear bushing being bad for a while - it wont be too critical, but should be replaced when you can.
I highly recommend all of the WHITELINE bushings. I sell them only because I use them and love them. Designed very well.

If you have moderate skills on working on your vehicle, DIY
I read it would take a whole day and blah blah blah.
You just need a drill with a couple bits and a sawz all with a metal blade
took me about 3 hours in my driveway
