plz brake pads recommendations
plz brake pads recommendations
Hi I'm shopping for brake pads I just need fronts but I'm gonna change all 4.. I currently have hawk hps up front and some advance auto cheap ceramic in rear..
brake dust from the hawks aren't a issue for me it's not that bad at all..
I have a 05 G35 sedan non sport.
I do drive aggressive 70% of the time. rush our brings it out of me. But not on weekends I brake late time to time also.
I'm al looking for a pad that's performance oriented minimal fade as possible but not a racing pad and not noisey and overly dusty..(it is a Infiniti after all)
I hear a lot good about ceramic but I also hear there aren't good for hard driving .. any recommendations

I'd stick with the Hawk HPS, great street perfromance pad.
The Hawk Ceramic or Akebono Ceramic will have a lot less dust, but they don't have the initial bite of the HPS.
I've had all three, and if drove like you say, I would stick with the HPS and live with the brake dust, which is still a lot less than the stock pads.

If you are driving aggressive on the street I would opt for the Stoptech pads. They have better bite than the Hawk HPS with out having to heat cycle for better bite. The Stoptech pad will also give off less brake dust.

I had Hawk HPS for 8 years, and thought they had great bite and low dust (than stock), so if Stoptech is better...
I am a fan of the ceramic brakes personally. Performance is good for a daily driver and low dust. Since Hawk HPS was backordered, I purchased Duralast Gold from Autozone which are ceramic. Believe it or not, much better than the Akebonos I had prior. Decided to just stick with the Golds because I liked them so much. Note: I have the Brembo Brakes
