Going through sway bar links like crazy

Hey Guys,

so I had quite a bit of my suspension redone, compression rods, tie rods, sway bar links, shocks struts etc etc..

the first time i started hearing this clunking sound going over bumps on the drivers front side, it was a sway bar link and it was replaced and the noise went away..... Then it came back about 6 months later.. so instead of OE replacement, i replaced the fronts with MOOG. Well about 6 months again... the noise is back. I am assuming its the sway bar link...

anyone else ever have this issue?

The OEM designs are just weak. I broke a front endlink and I have no idea how. I'm only on 350Z springs/Tokico HPs.

I replaced them with Whitelines and have been doing okay so far.

Let's not assume anything, if you find out the MOOG endlinks are the issue replace them with OE. Or if you want to spend the $$ on the best get a set of Power Grid endlinks, guaranteed not to fail ever! A lot of the issues with endlink are the hardware, cheap Chinese nuts/bolts where they won't stay tight! Once lose it doesn't take long for them to make noise and get destroyed...been there!

SPLs were my first aftermarket set, that's where the cheap Chinese hardware comment came from in my previous post! Lock washers or LocTite, nothing would keep those SPL endlinks from getting lose and making noise. Removing them you could hardly recognize the bolts they were so chewed up. Vendor's reaction was, "That's never happened before, you could send them back!" Not if they're on the way to the L.A. City dump! SPL suspension parts are normally the best, my camber kit never had the same issue!

Where were your Moog end links made? Thanks.

For me the driver side was made in Thailand and the passenger side was made in USA.

K750140 (Thailand) and K750141 (USA).

The driver side is defective and the boot is inferior to the passenger side. Will resolve the issue with Rock Auto.

Rockauto sent me a replacement and this time it looks identical to the passenger side. Made in Taiwan btw.

Excellent customer service from Rock Auto :-)
