If youre using the oem rotor it will have to be redrilled from 5x112 to 5x114.3. Fitment of rotor depends on pcd, hub bore and height of the hat. Youre most likely gonna need at least a 19" wheel to clear the caliper, thats not taking into account the spoke design for outside caliper clearance.

just because they're 22s doesn't mean they clear
Disc size is one of the most important factors
Also 22" wheels aren't fine. They're never fine.

Buy the right wheels and not your buddy's donk rollers

gotta make sure your wheels have convex spokes to clear the calipers, and if they are step-lipped they might not clear it. or just go by the oem amg wheel specs vs your wheels to see if spacers are needed. Willtheyfit.com is a great site for estimates. Hasn't failed me yet on wheel fitment.

How would having step lip make a difference? On multipiece wheels its all about disk type/backpad design.

no step lip/reverse lip wouldn't matter

I know that. That's why I was questioning his logic.

Unless you're building a track or show car you don't need a BBK! Want to upgrade your brake system do the following and you can buy all the parts here from our Marketplace under vendor brakes: DBA Rotors available in many configurations, slotted/drilled or just plain. Goodyear brake lines for better pedal feel. Hawk HPS brake pads, near zero dust and better stopping and life way beyond OE pads. Buy doing the Hawk bed in (search) you'll get 30% better stopping ability! Good Luck & Enjoy the Ride!

I don't understand the "it's only good if you're a track or show car" logic. If his upgraded BBK works at all temperatures on the street and not just when heated up like a track-dedicated car, why not? If anything, I would love to stop faster than I already do, and look amazing while I do.
