I found this:

http://www.farpost.ru/vladivostok/au...-49329702.html

It appears to be on cars not in the US??? 5381289901 is the Nissan/Infiniti part number I think you'd want to search for. The 6PM part number is from Hella and it says it's some kind of angular sensor.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess it's tied into the RAS or rear active steer feature on the cars that had that option. I've worked on a lot of G's both coupe and sedan over the years and have never seen this in person. Good luck and definitely keep us posted what you find out.

What country are you in? I believe some European countries require headlights to auto level out.

That sensor is a height sensor, I have a Nissan Armada, and that sensor is used to activate the rear auto-leveling system. On a G35, I can only guess that sensor is used to raise or lower your headlights depending on how full your trunk is.

I was wondering if this some European or other country unique part. I couldn't find it listed anywhere in any sites. I had to Google the Hella part number and the Nissan part number stamped on it.
